HyNote Pricing in 2026: A 5-Person Team Recording 100 Meeting Hours a Month Pays $0.33 an Hour on Pro, and Above 20 Hours a Person Teams Costs $75 a Month Against $79.16 for Unlimited

Five seats, 20 meeting hours each, read 27 October 2026: HyNote Pro yearly $33.33 a month or $0.33 a meeting hour, Otter.ai Pro $41.65, Fireflies Pro $50, HyNote Plus $54.16, Granola $70, HyNote Teams $75

The short answer

Short answer, prices read on 27 October 2026: a 5-person team that records and summarises up to 20 meeting hours a person a month pays $0.33 a meeting hour on HyNote Pro billed yearly: $33.33 a month for five seats, or $399.95 a year. At 10 hours a person the same seats cost $0.67 an hour. Pro and Plus stop at 1,200 minutes, 20 hours, a seat a month, so a team that meets more needs Unlimited or Teams, and Teams is the cheaper of the two: $75 a month for 5 seats billed yearly against $79.16 for five Unlimited seats. At 40 hours a person, Teams costs $0.38 a meeting hour, and Fireflies Pro billed annually costs $0.25.

Vendor pricing pages read in a rendered browser on 27 October 2026, before tax. Per-hour figures are our arithmetic: the plan’s monthly cost for five seats divided by the team’s meeting hours. “Over the cap” means the plan’s 1,200 minutes a seat a month do not cover 40 hours a person. Granola’s page prints $14 a user a month with no billing period.

Our pick means we earn a commission if you subscribe through our link. HyNote is our pick on this page because its Pro plan is the lowest per-hour cost in the table up to 20 hours a person, $0.33 against $0.42 for Otter.ai Pro. That does not change any score: HyNote scores 6.0 on our published rubric, Granola 6.7, Otter.ai 6.2 and Fireflies 4.2. See HyNote plans.

What each HyNote plan costs a team of five

HyNote sells five plans, and four of them are per person. Teams is the only one billed per seat with admin controls, and it needs at least 2 seats. The decision for a team is two questions: how many meeting hours each person records a month, and whether the notes need speaker labels.

Yearly billing saves less on the team plan than on the solo plans. HyNote’s pricing page says annual billing saves “up to 45%”. On Pro it is 44.4% ($143.88 a year billed monthly against $79.99), on Plus 43.0%, on Unlimited 36.6% and on Teams 25.0% ($240 a seat against $180). For five Teams seats that is $1,200 a year billed monthly against $900 billed yearly.

The 20-hour line: when Pro stops being enough

Pro and Plus each include 1,200 minutes a person a month, which is 20 meeting hours, or about 4.6 hours of recorded meetings a week. Anyone above it needs Unlimited or Teams, and at that point Teams wins on price. Five Teams seats cost $900 a year billed yearly; five Unlimited seats cost $949.95, so Teams is $49.95 a year cheaper and adds admin controls. Billed monthly, Teams is $100 a month against $124.95, a gap of $24.95 a month.

A mixed team is the harder case: two people who sell or interview all day, three who do not. HyNote’s page does not say whether Teams seats and personal plans can share one workspace, so we do not price a mix. If they cannot, the choice is five Teams seats at $75 a month on yearly billing, or separate personal plans: two Unlimited and three Pro, which is $379.98 plus $239.97, $619.95 a year or $51.66 a month, without admin controls.

What “summarised” costs: notes do not spend credits

Every paid plan lists one-time credits: 300 on Pro billed yearly, 150 billed monthly, up to 600 on Unlimited. Those are not for meeting notes. HyNote’s FAQ says credits pay for podcasts, slides and infographics, and gives the rates: a short podcast of about 3 minutes uses 10 credits, an 8-slide deck 20, one infographic 30. It adds that credits “are deducted only when content is successfully generated”.

We tested this on 18 October 2026, in a signed-in HyNote web account on the Unlimited plan that showed 0 AI credits. We uploaded a 2 minute 2 second recording of a scripted two-person meeting. The transcript was ready about 13 seconds after upload and was word-accurate on every line we checked. The Meeting Minutes template returned 3 of 3 decisions and every action item with its correct deadline, in about 4 seconds; the Follow Up Email template was also correct. Speaker identification did not separate the two voices: both were labelled Speaker 0. So the per-hour prices on this page cover transcripts and summaries, and a team that needs reliable speaker labels should test that first.

otter.ai/pricing, fireflies.ai/pricing and granola.ai/pricing read 27 October 2026; HyNote as above. Per-hour column: Pro and Otter Pro at 100 hours (20 a person, their cap), the unlimited plans at 200 hours. Otter’s Business discount is marked as valid for first-time subscribers only. Our arithmetic.

Up to the 20-hour line, HyNote Pro is the lowest cost in this table: $33.33 a month for five, against $41.65 for Otter.ai Pro billed annually and $50 for Fireflies Pro. Two things cut the other way. Otter.ai Pro includes speaker identification, which HyNote only adds on Plus at $54.16 a month, so for labelled notes Otter.ai Pro is $0.13 an hour cheaper at 100 hours. And Otter.ai Pro caps a workspace at 5 billed users, exactly this team; a sixth hire means Business.

Above the line, Fireflies Pro billed annually is the lower bill: $50 a month for five against $75 for HyNote Teams, $0.25 against $0.38 a meeting hour at 40 hours a person. Its limits are storage and length: 8,000 minutes stored a seat fills in about 3.3 months at 40 hours a month, and Pro records up to 2 hours a meeting. Granola Business at $70 sits between them.

How we checked

Every price on this page was read on 27 October 2026 on the vendor’s own page in a rendered browser, in both billing states where the page has a toggle: HyNote’s pricing page and FAQ, Otter.ai, Fireflies and Granola. The meeting-hour figures assume the team uses the hours stated and nothing else; they are our arithmetic, not vendor quotes. The summary and speaker test is our own, run on 18 October 2026 on one 2-minute scripted recording, so it shows what the features do, not an accuracy rate. We did not test Otter.ai, Fireflies or Granola for this page. For the full category, see AI note takers compared, with scores and verified prices.
