Synthesia Review, Pricing and Alternatives - AI Video

Our verdict

Synthesia is an AI video platform for business, with AI avatars, dubbing and a free Basic plan. There is a free tier, and 3 paid plans are published openly. We found neither developer documentation nor a changelog. We have not verified the prices by hand, so we do not quote them here. Everything above was checked on 2026-10-30.

Price points are recorded when a price moves, not on a schedule, so a flat run means the price held. Release cadence comes from the vendor changelog. A series appears only once we have watched it for long enough to have more than one observation.

Questions

Is Synthesia free?

Yes. Synthesia advertises a free tier on its own site.

How much does Synthesia cost?

Synthesia publishes pricing on its own site, listing 3 plans. We deliberately do not republish prices we have not verified by hand, because automated price extraction proved unreliable enough to mislead. Use the link on this page for current figures.

Does Synthesia have an API or developer docs?

We found no public developer documentation for Synthesia.

How is Synthesia scored here?

Synthesia scores 2.1 out of 10. That comes from a desk review of public evidence, which is capped at 8.5 out of 10: public pricing, documentation, maintenance signals and how much we could actually verify. Affiliate relationships are excluded from scoring entirely. The full rubric is published on our methodology page.
