Every Monday: the new AI tools and GitHub repos we scored, the prices that changed and the free tiers that got cut, each checked on the vendor’s own page and dated. Free. No sponsored picks.
What is in each issue
- New this week. The tools and GitHub repos we scored since the last issue, each with its score and a line on what it does.
- Prices that moved. Plans that changed price or shape, with the date we checked the vendor’s page.
- Free tiers cut or added. The limit that changed, taken from the vendor’s own pricing page.
- One Our pick, labelled. If we earn a commission on it we say so, and it never changes a score.
See an issue first
The last issue we sent is This Week in AI Tools, Sep 10 to Sep 16, 2026. Past issues are also on the newsletter archive.
The data behind it
Each issue is built from the same records as the site: the Free Tier Ledger, every tool we score and the rubric we score them against.
How we keep it honest
- Scores come from a published rubric, and nothing is for sale. See how we score.
- Any Our pick is labelled, and we say when we earn a commission.
- You confirm by email first. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe, and we never sell your address.
