Sora is discontinued. OpenAI closed the Sora app and web experience on 26 April 2026 and is shutting the API down on 24 September 2026, after which Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro endpoints stop serving. OpenAI has said data associated with Sora accounts is deleted after these dates. This page is kept as a record and as a pointer to alternatives, not as a recommendation. Checked 2026-08-27.
